You have wavy hair with a slight curl that has the tendency to get greasy, fast. You style your hair frequently to keep it looking ~perfect~, which causes damage to your hair cuticle. You need a hair care process that will keep your hair from becoming oily, while also repairing it from your styling tools.

Try to go a day in between washing your hair (so every other day) to help rebalance your scalp. However, if your hair becomes very greasy, wash every day. We recommend using Redken Clean Maniac Clean Touch Micellar Shampoo and Conditioner, which will keep oils at bay without being harsh or stripping. It will also balance your scalps pH levels to stop excessive oil production. We also suggest using Bumble and Bumble’s Sunday Shampoo once a week, to remove all the build-up that occurs, leaving it feeling light and clean. Finally, use a Bumble and Bumble Mending Masque once a week to help rid your hair of the damage done by styling products. However, only put this in the ends of your hair, to avoid the return of oily hair.

Betty Cooper

You’re a throw it up and go kind of girl, but what you don’t know is that your elastic is causing harm to your hair. You exercise frequently (hence the ponytail!) but it causes your hair to be oily at the roots and dry at the ends. You need a special hair care process that will treat both areas, separately! We recommend washing every other day with an oil-controlling shampoo, such as Phyto Phytocedrat Shampoo. Then, once a week, do a double mask! Before you shower, smooth a silicone-free clay mask like L’Oréal Paris Hair Expert Extraordinary Clay Pre-Shampoo Mask, on your roots, and a nourishing mask, like R+Co Palm Springs Pre-Shampoo Treatment Mask, on your ends. Rinse them both out after five minutes. Also, keep your hair out of a ponytail when you can! Just like you need a rest from sports, your hair does too.

Mostly C’s

Cheryl Blossom

You were blessed with long, healthy hair that naturally looks good all the time. Other girls are jealous. You need a hair care routine that is light and will keep your hair happy and healthy. We recommend the Matrix Biolage Cleansing Shampoo & Conditioner for Medium Hair. It’s light, free of sulfates and parabens, and smells like an entire garden—bonus! Follow this up with the Bumble & Bumble Don’t Blow it Thick Hair Styler to reduce frizz and create beautiful, relaxed locks that require no styling.

Mostly D’s

Josie McCoy

You have crazy curls and you’re not afraid to rock them! We love that you embrace your natural hair, but sometimes it can be hard to deal with how dry it can become. You need a super-hydrating hair process that will keep your curls perky and smooth. We recommend using the Bumble & Bumble Crème de Coco Shampoo & Conditioner Set for supreme moisture, followed by the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream.
